My friend booked this hotel and it is a good option for Honolulu. It is in a great location, near Waikiki closer to Ali Wai Canal. Much quieter and the TradeWinds at night are fantastic. Each room had a great balcony. The room size was ok, the bed horrible. We had two beds, one was a twin, the other called... more

I planned a girl's getaway for my 7 yr old daughter and myself for 4 days. I knew I wanted to save money on the hotel since we planned on spending most of our money on activities and meals. We have stayed here before with my husband, it was fine. It is run down and not the most lovely room,... more

Didn't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel, and if that's your plan this is the place to go! very clean, very accomodating & friendly staff. Cheap and affordable. Good times! more

I know its been a while since my stay, but i thought id put in my two cents. Ive stayed in several different hotels in Waikiki, and for the price location and amenities I like this one. The other hotels ive stayed at cost more, no breakfast and expensive parking. The rooms were a good size, compared to other hotels.... more

stayed at this hotel after booking it on Kayak.com Hotel room was dirty, and there were numerous bugs in the bathroom and in our bed. We stayed a couple years ago and it was okay then but has really gone down hill. The breakfast was horrible and they would not allow us to eat very much. I would recommend staying... more

The location was great - though a couple of streets back from the beach we had fantastic views of the mountains and the canal. Our room was quiet and a bit snug but perfect for what we needed - somewhere to sleep! Do not get too excited but the prospect of breakfast included - stale miniature croissants, pieces of toast... more

My husband and I stayed here in May 2007. I'm a bit late with my review but figured someone would enjoy the pictures! Overall, I really enjoyed this hotel and would certainly stay here again. The rooms were clean. They are not fancy and there were some scuffs on the wall that were repainted, etc. These aren't the types of... more

I booked the room quite some time ago online via the hotel's website. Since I booked online I got 50% off parking. What would have been $15/daily parking was offered to me at $7.50. That was quite a deal because hotels all around us were offering parking for $15-$25. When we got to the hotel, we found out that self-park... more

Just got back from a two week stay at the Waikiki Sand Villa. What a bargain! All the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area was always tidy and lovely and quiet. Yes, the breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it was free and fresh and you could always go down... more

The front desk was very nice, a bit hard to understand if you call for directions. I was only there for a day and a half but i wished I could stay longer. The rooms are basic but the views make up for it and it was definitely nice to dip in the very large and clean pool. the towel... more
