My husband, myself and 14 yr old son arrived at aprox. 10pm, for a week. Check-in was quick and simple. I had booked the room directly through the hotel and was given exactly what we had requested. 1 Bedroom suite, kitchenette, I had requested a higher floor, which was also accommodated. We were on the 18th floor, used the express... more
I stayed with some friends recently. We arrived in Honlolulu quite late due to a very very long delay in LAX.The taxi driver did not seem to know where this hotel was so we had some trouble trying to explain it.We finally arrived and checked in.The staff were at best average. The gentleman who served us seemed somewhat confused and check... more
Just returned from a 7 night stay at the Ohana East, the hotel is in a good position not too far from the beach. Good position for the buses and trolleys. Hotel itself is clean and comfortable. We paid extra to upgrade our room which partially overlooked the sea. On reflection I wish we had looked at the original room... more
The Ohana East Hotel, as many other reviewers have pointed out, is convenient to both shopping and the beach and several buses stop right outside the door for those wishing to use them to go to Pearl Harbor or downtown Honolulu. The front-desk staff are all uniformly friendly and efficient. That having been said, however, there is little else positive... more
This is my third trip to Honolulu and my first to the Ohana East, I usually stayed in Lewers Street but felt that I would like to try a different hotel and location. The location was great directly opposite Kings Court Arcade which has some fantastic little shops in it. The hotel was ten minutes walk to the International Marketplace... more
My friend and I stayed at the Ohana East Hotel on May 30,2008 for a one night pre cruise stay. We arrived about 9:00pm that evening. The staff was very friendly and allowed me an extra hour late check-out, which we really didn't need afterall. I was celebrating my 50th birthday and the staff offered me a bottle of champagne... more
My husband and I stayed at the Ohana East hotel this past Memorial Day weekend. The best thing I can say about the hotel is that it has a great location, about 2 blocks from the beach. The hotel was also in walking distance to the International Marketplace as well as the shops on Lewers street. It is definitely not... more
Myself, spouse, 16 yr old daughter and her best friend visited Waikiki/O'ahu April 2008. We rented a 1 bdrm kitchenette for 8 nights. It was a corner unit, great space, clean room/hotel, extremely friendly staff, very accomodating. Short walk(2 blocks) to the beach and very near shopping and International Marketplace. Only complaint...pullout sofabed mattress wasn' t all that comfortable. Good... more
We stayed at the Ohana East for 1 night at the beginning and 3 nights at the end of our vacation in November 2007. The hotel is in a great location, 1 block back from the beach, ABC store right across the road and plenty of eateries within a short distance. Check in on both occasions was a breeze, staff... more
