We stayed for Mardi Gras at the Alexa. The room was large and clean, but it was one of the darkest rooms I ever stayed at, as it faced a small second floor courtyard and neighboring room windows. Everything about the Alexa is first class- the location, renovation, furnishings, desk staff, housecleaning, etc, etc. The French Quarter location on Royal Street is convenient to everything. Shared amenities with Astor is a big plus. You won't go wrong staying at the Alexa. more
