My wife and I booked a standard room through Priceline @ $87 per night. When we arrived we knew we would be in the Tower and asked about an upper floor. Apparently, the lower floors 1-4 are for the lower price bracket--the room size is exactly the same only the view is different. We opted for a $35 per night... more

I thought this was a nice hotel. The lobby is beautiful, and it looks out into the garden which is so peaceful and tropical. It has 4 "huts" and a fireplace, it was so nice to go down there and relax in evening. The rooms are nice (love the IPod compatible radio), except the cigarette burn on the chair outside.... more

I stayed at this hotel with my son/husband because I am looking to book a conference in the San Diego area next year. The group rate offered for this property is more than reasonable. WIth these new refurbishments, I would say this is a quality hotel. The rooms, grounds, restaurants, pools, were very impressive! They have an Einsteins bagels and... more

We took our grandkids to Sea World for a long weekend. We got in on a Sunshine for Sale "sale" so our third night was free. The location is perfect, the marina beautiful, the grounds were lush, beautiful and very well kept. Check-in was easy and swift and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to a... more

We were there the week before Labor Day. Pros: Location, marina views, the wait staff at the pool bar were very accommodating. Cons: Too many: We stayed in the most expensive (Marina Suits). The rooms claimed to have been recently renovated and that seemed to be half true. New and old furniture were mixed together over a much stained rug.... more

When I stayed here I chatted with an employee and got some inside info....The vending machines were all removed so you have to go to the gift shop and pay $2.50 for a soda or even more for room service. The restaurant (awful) does not use their a/c and always pretend that it "just went out". They do not let... more

My Husband and I stayed at the Hyatt though a Jetblue getaway package from 9/21-9/27, I chose Hyatt because I have stayed at their hotels in Hawaii and was very impressed. Well...the Mission Bay hotel has some issues. The room was newly redecorated and had beautiful furniture and a very comfortable bed, but the rugs were stained (badly stained) as... more

My wife, my brother and his family and my mother all stayed here for a long weekend. The hotel was fine, although they didn't have our rooms ready when we got there at 3:30pm and when we finally did get to the rooms, one had two queen beds rather than the king it was supposed to have. The hotel managment... more

We just got back from a weekend trip to San Diego. We took our 5 year old son to Sea World and chose the Hyatt because of it's location. We were greeted with a smile and upgraded to an oceanview room with a balcony. The room is decent, small stains on carpet, cigarette holes in patio chairs, and makeup on... more

The Good: The hotel staff was very pleasant, especially the Concierge staff. The beds were super comfortable. The Bad: Where should I start? We booked a six day vacation package on Southwest Vacations. We knew that we were getting a standard room, but we had no idea what that meant. It meant that at a Hyatt Resort, you have no... more
