I guess my expectations were high considering San Diego's reputation, but the hotel was pretty dingy for my taste. Unfortunately it was fully booked so we couldn't switch rooms from the handicapped one we were assigned. No shower curtain or bath tub so the water spread through the bathroom floor and the toilet had a funny seat. Plus, the sink... more

It's pretty much a standard Marriot Courtyard located in Old Town. If you enjoy the Courtyard, this is pretty much like most.. Not a great bargain, but not bad either. The beds are very comfortable! We had a room facing the town side, so I can't comment on any noise from the I-5. It's two short blocks to the tourist... more

This hotel was comfortable and clean. Lots of space and everything you needed. The only problem was that they didn't clean the room when we went out. We were lucky to get street parking each day, but if we had parked in the garage, they would have charged 15 dollars a day. more

We booked this hotel with out seeing any pictures or reading any reviews. After I read the reviews this place sounded great. Getting there was very easy to find. It is with in 2 blocks of old town and shopping. I ate in the hotel restrant once for breakfast and it was not very good, I waited 30 min for... more

When my husband booked our room a month in advance, he asked that we be placed in a room that was not on the freeway side. So what room did they give us? Exactly. And when we asked to be moved, we were told that it was not possible. Thank goodness I went and asked another desk clerk and after... more

When I was looking for a place to stay during the Rock n Roll Marathon San Diego...I found few places available in downtown San Diego, so i opted to try something close to Old Town even though it seemed a little distant from the marathon course. Turns out that I made a wise decision as Old Town is a great... more

I enjoy the Courtyard San Diego Old Town. It is not a Five Star Hotel, but a great basic hotel. It does not posses great cuisine, but great location to Old Town. You are kept away from the hustle and bustle of San Diego and rather in a quaint, comfortable, tourist area. Surrounded by great Mexican Cusine, and a relaxing... more

My wife and I decided we needed a break from the chores of daily life and we got it at this hotel. OK, so it was not the best hotel in San Diego, but it sure has a great location. We had a rental car so we were not dependent on public transport. Our room was typical of a Marriott... more

A typical Courtyard, though with a southern California flavor. The big plus is the short walk to the sights and eateries in Old Town - love that Cafe Coyote! It is right alongside 'the' I-5, so you may want to opt for the quieter side street rooms. The open-air breakfast area is nice if it isn't too chilly outside. Oddly... more

I paid $189 for a room that definetly wasn't worth it! It's a standard Marriott Courtyard room, just like you would expect anywhere else...just a little pricier! It's all about location, location, location. Indeed, this is a great spot to stay in. It's very central and there are many bars/restaurants you can walk to. The staff was very nice and... more
