My wife and I (mid-twenties) stayed in this hotel on a Saturday night for a romantic getaway in the city. While the location of the hotel is good, the hotel itself feels jaded. The bathroom is small, and the room is not extra-ordinary. The hotel lobby is alright, but at various places, the walls are not painted, and the hotel... more

I booked this room on Priceline and got the room for a bargain. When I checked in, I asked if the room had a view. It didn't, but I was told that for only $35 more I could get a room with a view of the bay. The view was incredible. I didn't want to leave the room after checking... more

This is one of the priciest Hotels in the San Francisco Bay area located near Fisherman's Wharf. I thought the hotel would live up to the Hilton name the reason I booked it. The bathrooms are very small and the amenities are old and out of date. There was chipped wood at the counter by the sink and it just... more

This hotel will be familiar to any movie buffs, the spectacular lobby area doubled for the hotel in the classic 70's disaster movie "Towering Inferno" and Mel Brooks had a vertigo attack here in "High Anxiety". The lobby is in fact what makes this hotel, its bigger than anything I've ever seen and reminds me how hotels were supposed to... more

We loved the hotel for the proximity to everything! Cable car, streetcar, Muni and Bart all stop outside the front door. Close to the water for a walk. Across the street from the Ferry terminal, which houses a number of fantastic restaurants and shops. It is located in a good district, so you feel very safe walking out of the... more

My husband an I just returned from a 5 day visit to the Hyatt Embarcadero. He had a meeting there and we came a day early. We loved our room (1623)..it was very clean and had a great veiw of the water. What I really loved was the Regency Club on the top floor. Not only did they have a... more

I just finished a five day stay at the Hyatt Regency, for a conference. The location is great, and we had a room with a good view of the bay. the architecture of the atrium continues to impress me. the poor rating is because they seem to have decided to milk guests of every dime possible and minimize expenditure on... more

My husband was staying here for business in September 2008. The hotel was beautiful. We were shocked when we got the final bill though! Luckily, we weren't paying. I'm not sure if the hotel is worth the price tag because I haven't done a lot of research into other prices of hotels in the area. We had a beautiful view... more

The Hyatt at Embarcadero is an older hotel which has been maintained to a good but not exceptional standard. Its real strength is the location - away from the shambles of Fisherman's Wharf or the night-risky areas near Union Square (the latter is not my view but a statement by authorities as to risk spots while we were there). It... more
