My husband and I stayed at the IC Chicago on November 7 for 5 nights. We had booked a standard room but were upgraded to a huge suite which was amazing. The service in the hotel is superb and on the one occasion that we ate at the hotel it was very good. The pool is free to residents and... more

We spent the night in the historic tower on a Saturday night. We had a gift certificate and used it to celebrate a birthday. The lobby was lively and inviting. Several weddings were going and there was a lot of traffic, but the lobby did not seem overly crowded. Our check in was swift, our request to change to a... more

Just returned from the INTERCONTINENTAL-CHICAGO and must say was very pleased with the overall service and ammenities the hotel provides. Definately plan on going back soon and staying at the Intercontinental. Stayed at many on the magnificent mile and thus far none compares to our stay at this hotel. Mario D. more

We took the Amtrak from Lincoln, IL to Chicago on 11/2/08. Arrived at hotel by 10:30 a.m. and were able to have early check in. Room was very nice, but small. Built in couch located directly below the window. We could see Navy Pier, otherwise view was tops of other buildings. Bathroom was adequate - also on the small side.... more

I took my daughters on an American Girl Weekend to Chicago. The Intercontinental had a package giving us a discount, doll beds (one free to take home), and cookies and milk at night. The room was impeccably clean. The staff was very helpful. Room service was excellent, fast and hot. The hotel dining room had good food and warm service.... more

The hotel is across the street from a four level mall, the Shops at North Bridge, anchored by Nordstrom's. There is a Starbucks in the hotel and a Panera Bread close by. We stayed in the historic tower in room 1404 and our room was huge. My daughter and hubby upgraded to a corner room for the better view, but... more

My wife and I just stayed four nights at the Chicago Intercontinental Hotel on a trip combining business and pleasure and enjoyed our visit enormously. From the reservationist, who was the most polite, professional and helpful that I've ever encountered, to the room itself, which was small, but clean, well maintained and very comfortable, we had a very nice stay.... more

We have just returned from a weekend at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago. The hotel is magnificent and we loved the historic character of the hotel. Staying in the historic tower, on the 31st floor, we had a fantastic view of Lake Michigan and the Navy Pier. Watching the fireworks over the lake at night was an unexpected, but beautiful... more

Our company regularly stays with the InterContinental in Chicago's beautiful downtown shopping district. They have a wonderful way of making us feel comfortable and cared for, even on our repeated extended stays. We come back year after year, and the cost is usually not much more than the generic hotel chains. Lovely accommodations, caring staff, and a wonderfully unique facility... more

I stayed at the Intercontinental Chicago for three nights last week. I'm a frequent business traveler and my experience at this property defininately far exceeded my expecations. The hotel staff was welcoming, the rooms were large, recently decorated and quite stylish, and the hotel gym and pool were tremendous with flexible hours and new equipment (unfortunately, this is not always... more
