This was our first Family Tent Camping trip ever and we were fortunate enough to go with two other families that had camping experience. Overall this was a WONDERFUL family trip and we learned a lot for next time. In fact we are already planning our next trip back to Fort Wilderness in the spring. RESORT REVIEW: Fort Wilderness is... more

Our stay was definately a relaxing and enjoyable stay. All of our expectations were met. We took the advice of other reviews on the trip advisor site and rented a golf cart, very wise choice since our children are 2 and 4. It is true that it is not a necessity if you are trying to save a few dollars,... more

Four generations of my family have camped at Fort Wilderness since it opened in 1971. Each time we go we decide to make another reservation as soon as we get home. Halloween at Fort Wilderness is like a fantastic block party with everyone decorating their site, their rv, golf carts, bikes, children, adults and pets. There are special craft and... more

We have visited Disney for several years during Dec for MVMC and this was the first time we stayed at Fort Wilderness, it was Magical!!! My only complaint is the cost of the golf cart rentals, they were the same as the lot prices each day!!! Thank God we had one golf cart that we brought, but we had to... more

Fort Wilderness normally gets pretty good reviews. I simply don't understand why. Maybe it's because avid campers are comparing it to other campgrounds. Of course, it's going to be a tad better than your mom and pop campgrounds...it's Disney World for pete's sake! However, for the thousands of dollars you spend, it should by all means have much better amenities... more

Took my family (6 total) for a late Christmas present - January stay. We loved the cabin. All the kids (4) stayed in the bedroom and my husband and I took the pull out of the wall bed. Let me just say that the wall bed was awesome. I was thinking that it would be painful to sleep on but,... more

We stay at Fort Wilderness campground on a regular basis with our travel trailer. As you would expect from Disney, the capground is very clean and I was amazed that it was so quiet. We have seen a lot of wildlife very close to our campsite including deer and wild turkeys. They offer bus transportation through the campground or you... more

We stayed in a cabin Oct. 4-11, 2008. There were things we liked and didn't liked (aren't there always) about Fort Wilderness, but overall we had a great time! Here's my best advice if you're planning a trip to this resort: 1. Rent a golf cart in advance. This resort is like staying at a large State Park. Yes, they... more

We stayed at the Wilderness Cabins Sept 23- 30th.They were clean and well equipped for a family of 4. We had decided to not rent a car and let the Disney transport system do its thing. The Magic Express from the airport to the hotel was great and we got to check in at 12;00 when we arrived. Bonus! Mind... more

We stayed in our travel trailer and had a great time. The campground is currently undergoing improvements. We loved the campfire with Chip & Dale and enjoyed sitting on the beach everynight watching the fireworks and the electric parade. Awesome campground!!! more
