Having read other reviewers comments on this site we were not sure what to expect, but overall I tend to agree with what many have said. The hotel is in an ideal location, close to tram stops 1,2, and 5, and within a short walk of the numerous restaurants on the leidseplein. On arrival, the staff were welcoming, and gave... more

It's amazing at the crap alot of people have wrote about this hotel... i am deeply concerned at these review and feel the need to leave my opinion... afterall we're all entitled to arnt we? I think for the price alone.... the room was more than acceptable even though we were underground. Personally i feel this added to the experience... more

This hotel is in a great location, just a couple blocks from Light Square, but that's about the only plus. We were given a room in the basement that was very tomb-like. We couldn't tell if it was day or night. Two of the three nights of our stay, we were rudely awakened by the fire alarm going off repeatedly,... more

Having read some of the 'good' reveiws, I'm not sure we're talking about the same hotel!! Our room was on the 3rd floor, with a fan (from reception) going constantly, window wide open and radiator off, the temperature was nearly 30 degrees. Someone mentioned the fan in the bathroom - what fan?? Room was so small the only way we... more

The staff is very very ... i mean very unfriendly, the rooms are not even tiny they are so small that in our country you would be not allowed to make a rentable room out of it. the breakfast is at the entrance of the hotel and it is lousy and weak.... more

The hotel was in a good location but that was it ! We were in a tiny 3 bedded room. One bed was camp bed ................too small for a 50 something woman. Breakfast was appalling in dirty lobby. Tables not cleared and left with breakfast dishes until lunchtime. Next time another hotel will be booked. How this can have 3*... more

Plus: Although microscopic, the single room was clean and modern. And the location was good, on a canal and close to museums. negatives: Single room was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Literally, about 2x3 meters in size, plus a tiny bathroom. Manager at hotel told me all the single rooms were this size. And policy of paying... more

My sister and I went to Amsterdam for three days and booked the hotel at €50 each a night. It was pleasant, clean and the staff were friendly. The location was excellent. The only downside is that we could hear the toilet flushing from the room above us. It was extremely loud. But if you're looking for cheap and cheerful... more

My husband and I booked this hotel after reading such wonderful reviews. The room was awful, it was tiny and very grubby. The walls were dirty, the room itself was very small and the facilities were non existent. There was no dresser, tea or cofee facilities and the double bed was 2 singles pushed together. We had to pay before... more
