We booked this hotel at the last minute because we were unsatisfied with another hotel when we arrived. I booked it on babybmi.com and got a great deal. But, honestly, the next time I go to Amsterdam, I will pay full price if I must because this hotel was that great! The amenities are fantastic, you have free internet in... more
This is an excellent hotel and a great find. They claim 4 stars which I can believe. It is a small European-style hotel with a single person at the front desk and a meal room (breakfast and always-available coffee etc). The rates are very competitive for the area and the value. Even budget travelers might find that the freebies may... more
We had a great time here. The rooms were not enormous, but they were well thought out and clean. The shower was fab! The whole place was well decorated and cared for. Breakfast was great - even for a vegetarian :-) Location was good with trams outside going into central Amsterdam every 15 mins and restaurants and museums within walking... more
Well, we were booked to stay at the Hotel Avenue, when we arrived they asked the dreaded question, 'Didn't you get your email? !!!!! Nightmare, rooms had flooded and they were moving us to there sister hotel , Savoy! They paid for the tasi there and 48Hrs tram tickets for all the group. When we got there we couldnt believe... more
This is a real gem. Recently renovated, situated in a nice downtown location close to the RAI exhibition centre (and not too far from the city centre - just a 15 minute tram ride) this so-called boutique hotel offers many astounding features like an extended breakfast (complete with mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, capuccino and espresso etc), nice beds you can... more
Nice surprise considering we were supposed to be staying at another hotel.Bedrooms very smart & clean with plasma tv & free minibar.Staff very helpful & breakfast was good. Definitely recommend to friends.Tram stop near by & taxi only 15mins to centre of town. more
We booked this hotel as it was recommended by conference organizers. It is close the RAI (so convenient for this) but not to most the interesting sights of Amsterdam so you have to take a tram or enjoy walking - which we did a lot of! We were initially given a room on the first floor which had quite a... more
The second leg of our European Honeymoon Tour took us to Amsterdam. We stayed at the Hamshire Inn Prinsingratch (Don't know the exact spelling). This hotel was on the canal and was quite cozy. The location is just blocks from major attractions and we were able to walk everywhere. The front desk staff (Roger) were very nice and eager to... more
Not a bad place apart from the room being too hot... when we asked why we couldn't open the windows it was to do with the police who said because of a suicide in a hotel that the windows were to be locked !! A bit strange when you think that there are safety latches available where the window could... more
