I just needed a place to crash, and somebody booked the Bastion Hotel Schiphol Airport for me. It's just about a 5-10 minute ride, even though I didn't need to be there (but elsewhere). THe rooms are very basic, as is the bAthroom. The breakfast is just great for such a 3-star accommodation. I can recommend this place to anyone... more

We stayed in this hotel for one night in May 2007. We needed a hotel near the airport and I booked this one as it was reasonably priced. I spent three nights at the hotel, using it as a base for a conference in the city. The free shuttle is an absolute must as the hotel is further from central Amsterdam than Schiphol airport. I booked this through the Best Western Website. But upon arrival found t to be flagged as a Bastion Hotel. Anyway, it served its purpose and a satisfactory bed and a cold beer before an early morning departure from the AMS arport. Hard to find if arriving by car...it's behind the Micky D's. The hotel Bastion Schiphol Hoofddorp is a nice, 3 star hotel. The hotel has 80 rooms, all with private facilities and offers good value for money.
