The Botel was fine once we found it. For some reason I though the ferry was a private one so took some time to figure out it was the public ferry with destination NDSM werf, after that it was easy. (It was 10pm &dark so I have some excuse!) The ferry while simple was too much of a hassel with a... more

Visited with a friend who had previously stayed a few years ago, we were disappointed with the position of Botel being away from main thouroughfare. Ferry was not a problem as the weather was very good but had it not been the distance would have been very inconvenient. The accommodation was extremely basic and cramped, had to move rooms as... more

Excellent value for money. Our room overlooked the sea, and was very clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the bar man. Breakfast catered for all tastes, with plenty to choose from. Although the botel is located a little distance away from the central station (city area) we had no problem travelling to and... more

Spent one night at the Botel which was one night to many. After reading previous reports I tried for over a month to get alternate accomodation however as there was a convention on in Amsterdam there was no suitable accommodation. We needed to catch a ferry from the station to get there then walk with our luggage. We were given... more

Just returned from a couple of days in Amsterdam. Despite the boat having moved to over the water I throughly enjoyed the daily ferry trips to and from Amsterdam city center we did have great weather though might not have enjoyed it as much in bad weather, The boat itself is moored just a couple of minutes walk from getting... more

I booked into the Botel for a 4 night break with my girlfriend at the begining of September 2009. I chose it purely on the price and was not dissappointed. Luckily we both love boats so the ferry crossing was not a problem. Compared with land based hotels on the other side of the river this place really is good... more

Reading the prior reviews within this website I had my concerns with our stay. But it was worth the money. Rooms are very clean , very very very small bath tiny tiny shower. Anyways you don't go to Amsterdam to stay in the room. Staff very very friendly and location once you get use to the itinerary of the ferry... more

I was a little disappointed, if I'm honest. The room was small and not particularly well equipped. The shower and toilet room was tiny - the sink overlaps the toilet pan and there's very little room to turn round in the shower. The carpet was threadbare, the ceiling was damaged and the tiling in the bathroom needed re-grouting. Well over-due... more
