We stayed here overnight and it was very comfortable. Spacious and clean rooms and pleasant staff. The view wasn't too die for unless you're a huge fan of concrete blocks. Hotel was clean but the location is 25 to 30 minutes from central Amsterdam not 15 minutes. We were told the breakfast was 7 euros and when we paid for it it was 12.50 euros and it wasnt worth it!! very poor selection. Staff were very helpful when we asked about directions ect.. more

I chose the Tulip Inn West as we were needing a night in Amsterdam before returning to ferry at Ijmuiden and this hotel was on the correct side of Amsterdam. The hotel is best described as "ok". Location wise, it's really not very good at all. You're only about a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram (Hoekenes) and these arrive pretty regularly - takes about 25 mins to get into town. Have just stayed here for the weekend and was pleasantly surprised; it was so cheap to book that we were apprehensive about what it would be like. However, the room was lovely, clean and a good size. The Tulip Inn City West is located in a more remote location in between many apartment complexes. Shuttle service is available through the common shuttle service at the airport for $10 euros one way. My partner and myself stayed for new years eve (30th dec - 1st jan).when we arrived we had to pay 100 euro's as a deposit. We were not informed about this previous to uor stay.
