We have just rerurned from a 5 day stay at Lugano Dante.The hotel is just magnificent !The stuff was very kind and helpful,the best hotel stuff i have ever seen. Exceptional location (once I FOUND it! A little tricky driving into the pedestrian area) in the pedestrian area which required no transportation once arrived. This hotel is nearly perfect. From the train station, take the funicolare down to town -- the hotel is footsteps from the bottom of the funicolare. This is mid-city and you are close to shopping (Via Nassa), and all kinds of restaurants, all within a 5 minute walk. We were only staying for one night as we were travelling through but was really pleased to see that the hotel lived up to its reviews on this site - the room was very comfortable, bathroom was big enough, they were great with my nine-year old son.
