We stayed for 3 nights. We were upgraded from a senior double room to a junior suite. A very friendly welcome from the staff. The suite was decorated in what might be called 'modern alpine'. The bathroom was outstanding and had every possible amenity. The only complaint about the suite was that there were no comfortable chairs to relax in. The... more

We were there for a conference during a spell of beautiful weather. We stayed in a suite in the Regina Haus annex. We had a huge living room with balcony facing the Eiger, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchenette. One bathroom was equipped with a huge whirlpool tub and illuminated glass sink. The bed linens were silky Egyptian cotton. The decor... more

If you have stayed with other Great Hotels of the World, you will be in for a surprise. Hotel seems to have seen no new investments in the last 30 years except for the spa. Coincidentally, the patron is also on the Swiss committe who hands out stars to Swiss hotels according to a staff... We stayed there for a... more

We spent a Friday & Saturday night at the Grand Regina in mid February in their standard double room. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay (which was helped by the weather!) and the staff & service were superb throughout. We had no problem with noise even though our room was town facing. The views of the mountains from the hotel... more

We have been several times and are going again. We have had some trouble with noise from the lifts and bar but otherwise everything is splendid. The main restaurant is rather old-fashioned, but proper silver-service Swiss food. The Stubli is really excellent. Views of teh Eiger and up to Kleine Scheiegg are great. The Spa is very nice. Overall, service... more

We stayed in a suite with one of the most beautiful bathrooms I have ever seen. We had a huge balcony that we shared with a couple other rooms. But the views of the alps were breathtaking. We stayed in 6 other 5 star establishments throughout switzerland and this was definitely one of my favorites. more

The first two rooms we were shown on the street/train station side of the hotel we rejected out of hand because they were very "dumpy." They were neither "grand" nor "luxurious." More like a room you'd expect to find at a 2 star hotel. The third room was okay at first (mountain view) but upon returning to the room at... more

Hotel Regina had a great location across from the trains to go up the mountain. The breakfast buffet was lovely (but expensive). In the evening, we enjoyed all the hot chocolate we could get-- sitting in the lovely lounge of the hotel, at the foot of the mountain. The rooms were very nice-- marble bathrooms too. The staff was extremely... more
