The Villa Sestini is a lovely private home owned by Giovanna whose family has owned it for generations. The original house was much larger and has been divided into sections. Giovanna has created a well run B&B where you as a guest feel privacy and comfort. The bedroom my husband and I stayed in was large and had an exquisite... more

Villa Sestini is in one of the most beautiful locations possible. I opened my bedroom window on to the most magnificent views of Florence, sunset and sunrise were simply breathtaking and Signora Giovanna was a wonderful hostess. Her home made olive oil is the best, her "limoncello" is one of the best I have tasted and her "grape cake" in... more

We were very elated to arrive to a Villa that was situated amongst the hills and tuscan trees after coming from a busy city. Villa Sestini is the perfect hideout for solitude and rest. It overlooks the whole of Florence city with a splended view of the nice Duomo over-arching the rest of the city. Giovanna was a very good... more

Stayed with hostess Giovanna for three nights and had a wonderful experience in the Tuscan countryside. The villa is beautiful and the view is hard to beat. We enjoyed our trips into Florence during the day and the peaceful existence in the hills in the late afternoon and evening. Very nice place to stay and take in the lovely country... more

Following our storybook wedding in Vernazza on May 10, 2008, my new Bride and I decided we wanted a Tuscan retreat for our Honeymoon. I'm quite particular when it comes to European lodging, and was trying to stay within a reasonable budget. After conducting several days of investigation on TripAdvisor (and a few other internet sights), we chose a B&B... more

We just spent three weeks traveling throughout Europe and Villa Sestini was our favorite location. We stayed for four nights and Giovanna was the perfect hostess. She pampered us with local transportation, an accommodating spirit, and wonderful Italian breakfasts featuring her homemade coffee cake and preserves along with yogurt, Italian meats and cheeses. A great way to start each day.... more

From Helena & Moe Djouani Burgundy France Looking south east from any roof terrace in Florence, one can see perched on the hills, a magnificent tuscanian property with its pale yellow painted walls" that is where giovana (our host lives). What a welcome! Having driven from Monté Carlo in one straight drive, the refreshments and cakes where more than welcome.... more

The villa is charming and the view wonderfull. It is very close to florence and you can get there easly by leaveing your car in a nearby carpark for the whole day. The house is old and very beautifull but be prepared: your bathroom is not in the room (you don't share but you meet the other guest on your... more

We were travelling through Italy for 3 weeks with our two sons, aged 7 and 10 and were seeking a lovely tuscan villa in the countryside. The only catch was that we also wanted to be close to town to see Firenze. How lucky we were to find Villa Sestini. This charming villa is nestled in the middle of olive... more

A 2 week trip through Italy and France began here, and the quality of the stay was unmatched throughout the trip. Giovanna (the proprietor - a delightful woman who seems to do everything singlehandedly) picked us up at the airport and drove us through Florence into the hills above the city. The view, the building, the room, and the grounds... more
