I have just returned from 3 nights in Florence and after reading reviews posted here I was a bit wary of what to expect but for the low price I paid I was pleasantly surprised and couldn't fault my stay at Hotel Aline. Accommodation is very, very expensive in Florence - even budget hotels are extortionate but I'd say I... more

Our staying was nice and the place is well located and very cheap. We read some bad reviews about this hotel........but i can't agree because is good accomodation for persons without big expectatives.....it is well located just 5 min from the trainstation and from all the museums . Good value for the money more

My husband and I just returned from an amazing 2 week backpacking trip in Italy... let's just say the ONLY downer was our hotel in Florence - HOTEL ALINE! When we arrived, we were to check in at the hotel across the street (Liberty Tourist House). Although they advertised that their staff speak English well, I beg to differ... we... more

Payed reservation fee in advance, made the reservation through [--]. Got there in time with my daughter, didn't got the room, instead they showed us to another private place where the shower flood in the room, already there was wet carpets on the floor and a bucket with wet cloths, probably left from the visitors before us. Receptionist didn't feel... more

I came from Rome, where I slept at "Mi casa es tu casa", the last hostel I would never come back. And I arrived at "Hotel Aline" (hotel, it is not a hotel, you try to imagine where people slept during the war under the dominion of the nazis. In Spain it's called "a campo de refugiados") Aline it's like... more

I booked this hotel through venere and checked the comments left on tripadvisor before, which seems all right. But we found many problems from the beginning we arrived. The actual reception desk of aline is in fact in a building across the street, in another hotel owned by the same owner I guess ( the name is liberty tourist house... more

end of 2005, 50euros + 2 order fee, simple bed room, just big enough to put a small bed and a small desk, door is hard to close, you can hear everything outside, toilet is very busy, the only lucky thing is that I just slept there one night, NIGHTMARE in my 13 days journey! more

The hotel is good clean and central location (only 5 minutes to Train Station). The owner is very friendly but the receiption is in the other block - I don't speak to them much. It may have some design fault on the rooms' door or its lock, I can hear clearly others occupiers' open and close their room doors. So... more

The Aline is a good budget choice for Florence. It's a small family-run hotel on the 4th floor of a building-there is a lift-very well situated about 15 minutes walk from the railway station, on a fairly quiet street away from the main tourist areas. It is only about 10-15 minutes walk to the Duomo and the historic centre. My... more
