We had room #11 which faces the street. It was extremely noisy the entire night. The air condition "doesn't work" according to the receptionist so we couldn't sleep with windows closed. Stayed over 2 nights when Everton FC were in town. Room was smallish and the shower a bit cramped by the WC. Very clean with fresh towels each day. Breakfast consisted of juice/tea/coffee and muesli or cornflakes. I have recentely spent 5 days in Florence during my trip to Italy. I would definetely reccomend the Hotel Genesio: nice and helpful stuff, good location and spacey room. Another plus is the very good quality of the buffet breakfast, which is included in the room booking. more

The Genesio gives excellent value for money considering its location. It is a safe location, the second floor with no lift could be a drawback for some people. the location is about 10 min walk from the station and near the central market with good food. my husband and i walked to every monument in florence from this hotel and it was a nice walk.
