We (myself, my wife, my brother, and his wife) stayed at this hotel for a few nights in August. We took a train from Rome and walked to the hotel from the train station when we arrived. It was a bit of a lengthy walk (20 minutes maybe) but wasn't too bad as we had small luggage (one bag each).... more

Read these reviews CAREFULLY. Note complaints of management oft-repeated neglect... we showed up at 1935. no reception. called the hand scribbed number on a note on the door and some grouchy woman said she'd "send the boy around." 30 mins later kid shows up, no key for our room. Reception and lobby seemeded dodgy, after 45 mins we packed up and... more

We stayed here for one night only, and even though we came on a day that was a public holiday - we had no trouble checking in (it wasn't on a sunday though) and the concierge was very helpful. The apartment was not ready for occupation when we arrived, but they were happy to let us leave our luggage in... more

This place was nice except for the bed bugs. Our daughter was covered in bites and we had to move to another hotel. The management did nothing to help and denied the problem. To make matters worse, we booked and paid through expedia.ca and they have so far refused to refund our money. I would suggest avoiding both this hotel... more

These days we try to stay in short -stay apartments when booking short trips to Europe. So far we have had no problems at all when staying in Seville, Tallinn or Istanbul. On this occassion I was staying with my partner and cousin, and booked a two bed apartment in this complex. We arrived in Florence last Sunday. We had... more

This is the 5th short break in Italy we have booked online this is the only one that went wrong. We booked through lastminute.com received all the usual email confirmations but when we arrived at 2:30pm after a tiring journey we were greeted by the same woman everyone else has written reviews about. She was very nice to my boyfriend... more

When we arrived on sunday at 3pm there was no one to check us in until 5pm. there were a couple of other people extremely annoyed as they hadnt been able to check in the day before either. We were lucky, we only had to wait 2 hours so we went... more

My wife, 3 teenage boys, (from Ireland), and I had a great time in Florence. Our stay at the Pallazio Dei Ciompi was the highlight. Lots of space, very safe, and central, we could return at intervals to rest in our airconditioned apartment daily. We couldnt believe what we saw when the receptionist lady showed us into the ground floor... more

I just came back from a 10 day stay at the Palazzo dei Ciompi and had a wonderful stay. I am a single woman in my 50's, and stayed in a one bedroom apartment. If you want a typical tourist view of Florence, with a 24 hour concierge on call, I would not recommend this place for you. But if... more

We stayed here with our 2 boys aged 8 & 13. We all loved the apartment for its size & beautiful high ceilings even though the boys were sharing the double pull out sofa bed.. We had just stayed in a tiny apartment in Rome so this seemed huge. Even the bathroom felt bigger than our whole Rome apartment! Reception... more
