The hotel was very basic - I would say equal to a 2 star hotel in US standards. The carpet was very dirty, the bed spread had cigarette burns and overall the room just felt dingy. We just stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Montreal. Overall, a very pleasing experience. The room was very clean, the hotel conveniently located (2 minutes walk from the train station). The staff was very nice and spoke very good english. If you are looking for a cheap but great hotel in Florence, you should totally consider Hotel Montreal ! more

Very reasonably priced. No surprises. Clean, accomodating and priced perfectly! Breakfast included. Location PERFECT from train station and Duomo. Restaurants right there.
