Absolutely lovely hotel run by lovely people in the heart of the action in Florence. Finding the entrance is a bit tricky and the iPhone maps it incorrectly. We stayed at this hotel in November 2008 and were very satisfied. Fabrizio, Tommaso and staff were super friendly and very proficient in English and French. This is a very good hotel given its location and price. There are quite a few steps to get to the elevator, but they do provide help with carrying the luggage. Will definitely go... more

This place is AWESOME. The hotel we were at earlier that week had problems with the heat and hot h2o. We walked around the corner and they were able to accomodate us for 3 nights. In these days of spam, viruses and junk mail and more disappointments than joy, I read the reviews with some scepticism. But the Hotel Davanzati really is as good as they say.
