My dad, brother, and I traveled and stayed all over Italy on our trip this summer. Novecento was the best experience I had second only to staying with the family I have there. The owners Franco and Sawako are a lovely couple and very VERY accommodating. The rooms are a pretty descent size in comparison to city spaces (and I'm... more

Just got back from nine days in Florence. I went with a small group and we all stayed at different budget accomodations. Unlike most of my friends, I have nothing but good to say about my hotel stay. I was a two minute walk from the Duomo and within a 15 minute walk of many other historic sites. My room... more

Having seen the lovely photos of this central B&B we thought we had a real find. The rooms which are beautifully and very cleverly photographed on their site are tiny, don't be fooled. DO NOT stay in the Lilac room, we were offerred this, it is at the back, and directly over someones kitchen - it just smelt of cooking... more

We recently spent a long week-end at the Novecento - it really was a little gem in the centre of Florence, small, very friendly, spotlessly clean and within easy walking distance of all the sights - with the help of the map provided by our hosts, carefully marked with points of interest. We could not have chosen a better location... more

If you are looking for a basic, clean place to stay in Florence that doesn't cost a lot then Franco's place is for you. It is very close to the Duomo, in the heart of Florence....within easy walking distance to all of Florence. The bad part is the stairs--they are steep and its difficult to get your luggage up them.... more

We stayed at the B&B Novecento for two nights. Franco was extremely helpful, responding to our enquiry emails quickly ,and giving us lots of advice and help with choosing which places to visit. The room was large, clean and pleasant, the roof terrace gave a brilliant view over the rooftops to the duomo, and the location was excellent with all... more

We stayed here in early September for two nights. The proprietors of the B&B, Franco and Sawako, are very friendly, cheerful, helpful, and enthusiastic. The location is ideal – just a block from the Duomo and near the middle of everything. The bedroom is very clean, comfortable, quaintly decorated. It’s air-conditioned, which is a blessing in summer. There’s a roof... more

Hotel was in excellent location..behind Duomo. Marco is super friendly. And they give such a personal touch with everything. They were there to order our cab and really accomodate to us personally. The rooms are very nice, it's cozy and well decorated. They keep the place clean and comfortable for travelers like us and that's the reason for the rules.... more

The charming B&B Novecento is ideally located, only a block from the Duomo. It's on the 4th floor of a renovated 160-year-old building. This would not be suitable for anyone with lots of luggage since you must climb a rather steep 60-step staircase; however, if you ask, the friendly and energetic host, Franco, will help you with your suitcases. Fortunately... more

This was one of the worst places we have stayed in! We nicknamed this B&B as "Bootcamp B&B" due to the number of rules we were presented with on arriving - including a laminated bill for toliet repairs if you break the toilet and instructions not to touch the mosquito net above the bed. The latter was ironic as we... more
