Dear future Florence tourists. As an American group we went to Firenze a few months ago with a group through Explorica... Being high school students these things can get a tad expensive so we were booked at the Cordova and were utterly shocked by our rooms. The beds weren't exactly well kept, the televisions did not work, no shampoo, etc.... more

Being a two star hotel I wasn't going to be be expecting anything too luxurious but nothing prepared me for what was waiting in our room. The only positive things I can really say about this hotel is that we had a very spacious balcony and it was not a far walk to Firenze attractions. Though there was no shampoos,... more

I stayed in this hotel on an Explorica Educational Tour (www.explorica.com) the second week of July. I am an employee of Explorica (an educational tour company) and was accompanying a tour to Rome, Florence and Venice. The hotel was great and had an amazing rooftop patio with a view of the Duomo. It was a great location and the group... more

Terrible experience! Loved Florence, can't wait to go back, but I would avoid this awful hotel. First- the toliet didn't flush properly and a staff member called me a stupid American for complaining about this. Second- we had to stradle the toliet as we showered and after each shower, the room flooded. Third- the hotel gave us fleas (or bed... more

We ended in Hotel Cordova because we took one look at the rooms of the hotel recommended and gave it a pass. We were greeted at the front desk by Carmello, an extremely helpful, friendly staff. He showed us the rooms and communicated in english which was a plus, considering its the only thing we speak. Initially we had decided... more

We actually booked at a different hotel, but due to a computer glitch where our original place got OVERbooked, we and a few other people got shuffled off to other hotels that still had rooms available on this holiday weekend. Hotel Cordova became our site. The room size was reasonable and the room was clean. The mattress was good. We... more

It took us around 10 mins walk from the train station and where greeted with a very warm welcome. The rooms are basic though offer excellent value for money and ours had a good air con system, television, breakfast included. The staff are friendly and always willing to help and the hotel is only a few minutes from the Domo. Well... more

We had an good 3 night stay. The Cordova is close to all of the major sights. We found good places to eat close by. The breakfast was good, room clean, staff helpful and friendly, they made reservations for us ahead of time for the Accademia and the Uffizi. more

I stayed here for 3 nights in mid August 2005. Just got back, in fact. I booked this hotel through a travel agency b/c it was inexpensive (like $60 US dollars per night?) and I was trying to work with in a budget. I went and checked online after I booked and paid, and saw these reviews and got a... more
