In planning a trip to Italy for a "milestone" birthday, a friend gave me a write-up on il-Borgo. I contacted them online with many questions and they responded immediately. I was sold. This was the second week of a two-week visit to Italy - and I was traveling alone the week at il-Borgo, so the surroundings were even more important.... more

We just spent a week at IL Borgo, a small hotel in the hills of Tuscany. The reasonable price included a wonderful bedroom suite, an excellent breakfast served by a basket outside our suite each morning, driver and guided tours in a number of Tuscan villages and cities including Florence, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, and Lucca. Each night we were... more

My two sisters and I recently spent 9 nights ( Sept. 8 - Sept. 17, 2008) in Tuscany. The place we stayed, Ill Borgo, had been recommended by a friend who stayed there in 2004. It was a trip of a lifetime. The man in charge, Alessandro Guerriere, is a class act. He arranged everything from the airport transportation to... more

We arranged to spend a week at the Villa Bossi-Pucci in early October as part of a tour group of ten individuals. The weather was warm and mostly dry and sunny (one day of rain). The property more closely resembles a condominium in the US, though the grounds include an olive grove and a large park area with many trees... more

Il Borgo was the highlight of our wonderful trip to Tuscany. Alessandro is a wonderful and caring host and we had a very good time at Il Borgo. The apartment was lovely and the view from the terrace just reinforced the fact that we were in Tuscany. It was luxurious and the staff really was and is gracious. Alessandro, the... more

We arrived at Il Borgo through its grand front gate, the yellow buildings shimmering in the sun. Alessandro greeted us with a bouquet of sweet-smelling flowers and showed us to our apartment. It was beautifully decorated. Having left Phoenix about fifteen hours earlier, the bed was comfortable and inviting. The view of the rolling hills from the apartment was breathtaking.... more

Date: November 2, 2007 Reviewer: TripAdvisor member, California Il Borgo has a "Lessons of Tuscany" program that exceeded all our expectations. We signed up for the program and an additional 3 days bed & breakfast. It was a great idea. On the "Lessons" program we went to a different Tuscan location each day, transportation included, and were provided with a... more

It was just about 10 Mos. ago that we traveled to Tuscany. Our first week we stayed at Il Borgo and were greeted by Innkeeper Alessandro Guerrieri. He truly is one of the nicest innkeepers we've ever met. The vacation was the most relaxing and scenic yet. The food? Fabulous. Il Borgo has a package called Lessons of Tuscany that... more

It had always been a dream of mine to visit Italy, especially since my Grandparents came over to the US from Italy at the turn of the century. Never in a million years would I have dreamed of the experience my wife and I had at Il Borgo. From the moment we arrived we experienced the beauty of Tuscany and... more

September in Tuscany is spectacular and staying at Il Borgo made it a truly wonderful experience. The accommodations are spacious with two bedrooms, two and a half baths, full kitchen and living room. Patios and balconies with views of the incredible Tuscan countryside were enjoyed for breakfasts and cocktails. The staff at Il Borgo arrange everything for you including drivers... more
