Great modern American style hotel in beautiful Florence. Rooms are very clean and modern. Great change from the tired old hotels in Italy. Our room was pretty tiny though. Fantastic shower. Good high speed internet. 10 minute walk into main shops in Florence. Bring good walking shoes. Amazing leather markets near by. more

We have just returned from staying a week in the Athenaeum and couldn't fault the service. The staff were all very pleasant, the food in the restaurant was superb. When you arrive you'll think you've got the wrong hotel, it looks as though someone started an office building and then changed their mind half way through and turned it into a hotel. Beautiful hotel on the outskirts of the city (about 10 to 15 mins walk to the central area).
