We have just returned from Italy and our 4th stay at Il Poggiale. Everything was just as good as ever and we hope to be lucky enough to return next year. We must however echo a comment in a previous report regarding the swimming pool. It was very noisy with several badly behaved children who were unchecked by their parents.... more

I cannot recognise the Villa Il Poggiale from the negative reviews on this site. We stayed there in 2005 with our then-one year old. We have to agree with the previous reviews that described the experience as disappointing or average, and we find the management response to those reviews to be very indicative of our experience also. There is such pride in the villa that anything less than similar acceptance, adoration, enthusiasm and even gratitude on the part of the guest for the accommodation... more

We conducted a 5 day photography workshop at the Villa and found the staff to be most accommodating. From morning to night they looked after us and our 20 delegates. What an amazing view and a beautiful historical building. All the rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Every meal we ate was delicious.
