My sisters and I spent 3 nights at Il Villino in September. Arriving late in the evening after traveling all day we were welcomed warmly and had the luxury of having a bottle of wine (purchased at a very reasonable price from their collection) brought to and served in our room while we got settled. We found the staff to... more

Wonderful place to stay. Stayed for four nights. Sergio greeted us at the door, and we immediatly felt right at home. Central location, and close enough to walk to the best places. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and fresh caffe every morning. more

We hadn't been to Florence since we were gormless kids in the 80s, and coming back after so long was a big deal, so we were a little nervous about whether we'd chosen the right place to stay. We needn't have worried. Il Villino is a little oasis of calm in the bustle and shove of Florence. Sergio is a... more

From the time we needed help finding the hotel (all I could find in my papers was the phone number) to the moment we left, we were treated great. We arrived on the train and had lost our camera so were a little distraught. Sergio and his son were very gracious to us - helping us to call the train... more

Our recent stay at Residenza il Villino exceeded all expectations with kindness and service unmatched by any other experience to-date. Even before our arrival, through email, Sergio had helped us book museuems, given us renatal car advice, and knew us by name when we walked in the doors. Like a friend, Sergio welcomed us with open arms and as he... more

This was our second visit to Il Villino and again just as good as the first time. One of the best things about Il Villino is the pretty courtyard. In a city its great to get a bit of outside space to relax in. Breakfast isn't extensive but there's enough there to start the day with. Perfect location, hosts and... more

Sergio and his wife and son were the best part of our stay in Florence. We arrived by car in Florence. BAD idea!!!. I have driven thru hell and high water but nothing prepared me for driving into Florence. Sergio put away all my fears and actually jumped in the car with me to show me the way to Avis... more

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights towards the end of August (hot and humid, lots of mosquitoes, and tourists). Il Vilino was our respite. The place was a little hard to find (mainly because there are two houses marked with the same address spaced a few doors apart) and a little far from the Uffizi, though very close to... more

Words cannot describe how happy my husband and I were to say at this adorable b&b. We stayed for 3 nights total. Sergio and his son were so helpful the moment we arrived and even lugged our very heavy luggage all the way to the room on the top floor (no elevator). Sergio was extremely hospitable and caring. He and... more
