Nice property in the very center of attractions, reasonably priced and well maintained. We found friendly staff, but outside door propped opened frequently. We had a sum of money stolen from our room overnight (inside job?). Per Florence police, they have already had similar report from this hotel. No safe for valuables available here. more

I agree with the reviewer who said this is really a pensione, not a hotel. The breakfast was pretty limited, and you have to get it and bring it back to your room b/c the food is just set up in a hallway with no place to sit. But the location was extremely convenient. I think this is an upmarket pensione not a hotel. It has about ten rooms and the one we had was beautiful (and air conditioned) with a small but modern and functional bathroom. Its only negative is that it has no elevator and, as we were on the second floor, had to drag our luggage up the stairs on arrival... more

The location is great. The residenza does not provide tourist hotel services, restaurant recommendations, maps, etc. The building is narrow and there is no elevator, the 4th floor is really 6 or 7 flights of steep stairs. The rooms are clean, furnishings worn, inconsistant water in the shower. Good value. I consider it a 2 star property. more

After a 4 night stay, even the B&B's great location could not make up for all of the negative aspects... The staff, who leaves at 8 pm, was rather unhelpful when asked about day trips. This hotel is located very close to Duomo. The rooms are high and spacious, that was positive. I visited the hotel in January and the room was warm enough. If you can, please, request a room that is not in the top floor and where windows are to the backyard. The nightlife in the street may be sometimes...loud ;-) As... more
