We chose to have our wedding reception here and it is a beautiful place. Amazing views over Florence and the surrounding countryside, lovely gardens, villa has lots of character and Lorenzo is very friendly and helpful. The villa is well situated in that it provides a good base to explore the surrounding countryside or the centre of Florence as desired.... more

The location is fantastic and the house is beautiful - there is also a modern and clean swimming pool and the view from the house over Florence is wonderful but we felt the service was not at all welcoming or warm. Villa Poggio San Felice is hands down the BEST place to stay in Florence. We recently (may 2004) stayed for 3 days here. We stayed in the "Grandparents" rooms which has a lovely terrace and great views. Unfortunetely, the weather was very cold during our stay, so we couldn't use the terrace. The heat had already been turned off so it was VERY cold at night in the room. we stayed at villa poggio san felice 2 years ago and it was the highlight of our trip...it was a bit outside downtown florence but they offer a ride into town each morning....it is a great romantic getaway for a couple...we will surely stay there again more
