Cute little hotel right in the centre of things... you are minutes walk from the Duomo and all of Florence's major attractions. In addition the street market of San Lorenzo is just round the corner (don't buy any leather items here as I saw one of the traders spray a jacket with some leather smelling perfume). Hotel Rex is next to St. Lorenzo Church, and 2 min. walking from Duomo. We spent there 2 nights. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was O.K. The staff was nice. You have a parking(20€/day) close to the hotel. more

The room was very small and in desperate need of decoration however if you looked passed the peeling wallpaper and dislodged ceiling tiles it was as clean as possible. What can i say about this sewer? The only thing i happy about that we stayed in this place only 4 nights. This place highly NOT recommended for visitors. Service is BAD, rooms are old and dirty.
