The De La Pace is in a great location right night next to San Marco and the Gallery Academia. The rooms were clean and the staff very helpful when it came to answering questions. The breakfast consisted of cold cuts, cheese, and pastries. All in all, this was a great hotel to stay. more

Our travel agent arranged our stay at Hotel de La Pace. The reservation confirmation from the hotel acknowledged air conditioned rooms. Our room was not air conditioned and was unbearably hot. My partner and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for 5 nights at the end of January. The staff were very friendly helping us out with restaurant suggestions and even booking tours for us. We stayed here from Jan 1-Jan 4 and we had some issues. 1: We (three couples) all paid the same price and yet we all got various sized rooms. We had one unplanned stay here in September 2007 after another reservation was cancelled. The room was clean and comfortable but more modern looking than our other Florence hotels. The breakfast was average. It was an easy walk into the tourist area but longer than some other choices. Overall a nice experience but not our favorite. more
