Only one good thing about this hotel is the location. It is close to all touristic areas, walking distance. If you look at the website pictures, you will see those beautiful rooms, but it doesnt mean you will get a room like that. The room we had , was nothing like the ones in the pictures. It was more like... more

I too was a bit trepidatious about staying here after reading the postings. Were those people staying at the same hotel??? I traveled with another family and we were a party of 7 and were all treated as guests. Complaints about the breakfast room being dark were unfounded. The food was the same every morning but there was certainly enough... more

I read a few of the other reviews from other people. Were they at the same hotel I was? Our room was beautiful and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would definately stay there again. The hotel was in the historic district which was within walking to everything. Few cars allowed. The rooms were very clean and beautiful.... more

We have just returned home today from 2 wonderful weeks in Europe. Three of our hotels were wonderful-and then there was the Brunelleschi Hotel. The hotel is dark, dingy and rather grubby. Our room was reached through a maze of badly decorated corridors with a mixture of laminex and cheap wood paneling. The room itself was an odd 2 room... more

19-22 Sep 2008 - wedding anniversary w/e - from the UK Location of this hotel could not be better. Negatives (in order of priority); 1. Beds like planks (and we were in refurbished "deluxe" rooms (we think!) 2. Breakfast was poor. Same every morning, bread stale, surly staff, scrambled eggs lukewarm at best Easy to improve with better management. more

We stayed at this Florence Hotel as part of our Tauck Bridges tour. Our family of four had two rooms that were next to one another, which was nice. Unfortunately, the beds were as hard as rocks. In addition, it was impossible to control the air conditioning which went from freezing cold to very hot. It was impossible to sleep... more

We arrived in Florence on our honeymoon, knowing that there was a nicer section in this hotel and a not as nice, unrenovated section. We had requested to be in the renovated section and told it would be no problem. When we got there, the desk manager informed us there was no room for us in that section, but he'd... more

reasonably easy to find, this hotel was in an excellent position in a small square on one of the narrow streets. From the outside it is very impressive, the inside was well presented and we had no problems with the room. We found the staff very helpfull, although they did add some drinks to our bill we had not had,... more

Loved the Brunelleschi. The staff were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location of this hotel is fabulous - we couldn't believe our luck being so close to the Duomo. We didn't stay in one of the more expensive suites but nevertheless our room was clean and comfy, had everything we needed and looked out... more
