There is a very good reason why this otherwise modest 2 star hotel in the heart of historic Florence rates so highly in these reviews. In these days of surly or indifferent service, the family which runs the Hotel Casci truly and genuinely care about each of their guests as if they too were members of an extended family. Nothing... more

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this hotel, which is very close to the centre of Florence. You need only short walks to look at the beautiful Duomo or visit the Ponte Vecchio, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi and the other very interesting museums and churches and the wonderful restaurants. At the hotel we had lovely breakfasts with... more

The hotel is perfectly located; one can walk everywhere. Staff members (mostly family) are welcoming, friendly, helpful with even the smallest detail and ready to recommend shops, museums and restaurants. Rooms are comfortably furnished, with windows that open (best to be on the courtyard side). Wi-fi works well. Great value for price and the bonus is how warm the reception... more

We were so comfortable in this hotel. The staff are warm, helpful accomodating. The hotel rooms are immaculate. Our room was facing a courtyard at the backside of the hotel. It was an adequate size for two people and the bathroom was quite large. The location is perfect. One block from the Academia where the statue of David is housed.... more

Hotel Casci is a wonderful place to stay in a great location. The location makes it very easy to explore the beautiful city of Florence, with the train station a short walk away, the bus stop across the street and the main sites and shopping close by. I have stayed at Hotel Casci 4 times over the past 9 years... more

For the Lombardi family who run this hotel, nothing is too much trouble for their guests. They were genuinely so helpful in every respect. The breakfasts were extremely good and wonderful cappucino, made with freshly ground coffee beans. Great!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting good value for money in the centre of Florence. The hotel's location was... more

I found the Casci to be incredibly clean, friendly and in an excellent location from the train and the town center. The family that owns/ manages the hotel treats you like family while you are there. The breakfast was wonderful each day. They have an enormous collection of travel books you can use while staying there to look up any... more

3 middle aged women traveling Italy, a great B and B in Florence, helpful staff, wonderful location all add up to a great holiday. We enjoyed Hotel Casci and the Lombardi family (even though a night manager told us to be quiet, it was only 11pm!). We really enjoyed the common area and the fact you could meet other travellers,... more

We stayed for three nights in late October and really enjoyed our time at the Hotel Casci. The location is superb, being right in the centre and within easy walking distance of the main attractions and good restaurants. Once inside, the hotel is bright and clean, and our room, at the back , was very comfortable. All the staff are... more
