We stayed at the hotel in Sep 07 for 3 nights. I personally wouldnt stayed for any longer as Taormina the place does not have that much to do, but the hotel was exceptional for the time we were there. Great views from room and had breakfast on terrace every morning. Pool and beach setting are great and fresh fish... more

I have to state that my review may be a bit biased as I got engaged here in 2007. The hotel is situated on a fairly busy road, with no pavement (or sidewalk) to the cable car that leads into Taormina. I would suggest getting a taxi to the cable car. you cannot hear any road noise in the hotel... more

This hotel is something like a hotel from the 70's. The views are great, but nothing special in the rooms, the internet doesnt work and they couldnt get it to work so we wasted a few hours on that, the only english channels are bbc and cnn, and the movie channel was broken the whole time we were here. Also,... more

We just got back from a long weekend at the Capotaormina. As we live in Rome it wasn't a long trip for us. We rented a car at Catania airport and drove the 50 easy kilometers to Taormina on the highway. Parking was easy upon arrival at the hotel's free private parking lot. Our room wasn't ready (2pm check-in) so... more

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during for conference. The hotel is in a beautiful setting at the foot of the hills, and it has a real 'secluded' feel. My room had French windows which opened out onto a balcony overlooking the sea. Most relaxing view! The room was large and clean with a separate dressing room and... more

We found this hotel on expedia and the photo looked amazing so we decided to give it a try. The hotel is clean and we had a room with a balcony that overlooked Mount Etna and the beautiful waters below. The coolest part of this hotel is the elevator ride down to the caverns that are carved out of the... more

horrible smell - chlorine and smth else in the halls and in the lobby. outdated decor. something like blue moon motel in midwest. internet is not working. groups of loud russian tourists roaming the lobby. groups of cardiologists on convention blocking the entrance - the whole idea of relaxations on the beach in great hotel located in beautiful town somehow... more

We stayed here 3 nights with a tour group. As such we had little to no contact with the hotel staff, everything was done through our tour guide so I can't comment on their efficency. Our room on the 3rd floor had a wonderful view of the sea, Mt Etna & the pool. The room was long but narrow, had... more

This hotel is waaaaay over-rated. Designed in the 1960s and hasn't been changed since, including the furnishings (carpets, beds, couches, lights, etc.). Although our room had a shiny new flatpanel TV. The internet, which costs 17 euros a day (ouch!) didn't work. The staff was utterly incompetent and aloof and everything in the hotel was badly overpriced (8 euros for... more

First impressions of this hotel are great. The main foyer, bar, terraces and interior spaces are well decorated, clean and thankfully, fully airconditioned. Our room was on the 6th floor. I know people have complained about this from previous reviews, but to be honest, we thought the room was great. Even though there is no view, you have all day... more
