The rooms aren't the best, but if you face the sea, the view from the room is, and the rest of the hotel has a great atmosphere - slightly faded but in a good way, with a lovely garden for breakfast, and wonderful places to sit and read. Loved our stay there. more

We arrived in Taormina on a cold, rainy Sunday afternoon in April with no reservation. Our first stop was at Pensione Svizzera that had no rooms with a view. An absolutely delightful hotel - the fact that it could do with a little update here and there just adds to its overall charm. Breakfast is served on a terrace so it's ideal for people watching first thing in the morning (and breakfast is served until 11 so no need to be up at the crack of dawn!). Great location... more
