I booked the Capuleti because my usual hotel (Accademia) had no vacancies. On arrival for a 4 night stay I was "greeted" by a rather dour receptionist. Although the outside temperature was 34C the room had no airconditioning, only warm air blowing from the ventilator which I assumed was because of an open window. The thermostat 'clicked' at 29C but... more

The location is very good, just a 10 minute walk from the arena. Parking was quite easy to get, with good assistance from the guy in the reception. the hotel is quite small and cosy. Breakfast was good, and the breakfast room nice. Our room (301) was quite small, but bath room was quite big. Our only complaint is that... more

This hotel was hugely disappointing, especially after reading such complimentary reviews before going. I eventually came to choosing this hotel as it was slightly cheaper than other hotels within a similar proximity to Verona's old town. When we arrived in Verona, we were very impressed at the beauty of the ancient town. We had a little difficulty finding the hotel,... more

Stayed here in 2005 and enjoyed it very much. This time I was travelling with a friend and we had booked single rooms. Its a shame that you tend to lose out with single accomodation. My room was fine, big enough and had a nice balcony. My friend's room was a bit smaller and darker but we were out most... more

clean hotel, within walking distance to arena and piazza bra, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, nice-sized room, the only negative was that the shower drain did not drain fast enough, so the bathroom floor would become flooded, although you could control that by just turning the water pressure a bit lower so it doesnt overflow the drain...overall i would recommend this... more

I organised a group of twelve of us to go to Verona for the opening weekend of the Verona Opera Festival. I visited tripadvisor.com last year (September) to choose a hotel. Even that far in advance, the hotel I wanted was booked! I opted for the Capuleti because it was the best combination of location, price category and good reviews... more

The hotel is located right outside of the walls of Verona. Easy to park and then easy to walk to the Arena...as well as shopping, the Bra, etc. Breakfast is very opulent compared to some other Italian hotels we stay in. Make sure to book a room on the new side of the hotel. We were in room 516 which... more

We visited Verona from 22nd June to 26th June at the start of the 2006 Opera Season. We stayed at the Hotel de Capuleti which was great. The room (512) was a decent size with everything we needed. The bathroom was very well appointed with a jacuzzi bath! The room was also lovely and cool, which is a must when... more

I had faxed them to confirm in advance that we would be late arriving in the evening, and received a very prompt and courteous reply. We stayed for two nights, 22nd and 23rd June 2006. Whilst the room was small, with the only convenient place to put a suitcase being on top of the wardrobe, everything else about the accommodation... more
