Right in the heart of Cannaregio , in the Ca d'Oro quarter, one of the most important districts of Venice, the new UNA Hotel Venezia looks straight out onto the Rio Santo Sofia Canal. It is only 5 minutes on foot from the Rialto Bridge and 15 minutes from the magnificent Saint Markus Square. This stately building has been restored to its ancient splendor thanks to carefully thought out renovation, with emphasis on detail and furnishing. We visited the hotel in October 2008 for our honeymoon and chose it after reading all of the great reviews on Tripadvisor. We totally agree with Writerwriter who has left a very accurate summary of this hotel. Dont get us wrong, its fine but the feedback elevates it to a very high rating which may be misleading to some travellers,... more

My husband and I stayed here at the Hotel "Una" (they don't call it by its full name usually) for two nights and really enjoyed this hotel. Everything about it is top notch. The hotel is in a quiet location and therefore slightly off the beaten path, which we liked very much. It is easy to access from the Ca... more

Stayed at the UNA for 4 nights in mid-October for 10 year anniversary. Used the "Taste of Venice" package which included several extras and booked the 2 level junior suite. Loved this place - great comfort and service. It's nice to have some modern amenities that one misses in a B&B - like coffee in room, etc. The staff was... more

Great location close to Rialto bridge but nice and quiet at night. Facilities where excellent the rooms absolutely lovely, beds where turned down in the evening and a chocolate left on each bed a lovely touch. Free tea and coffee facility in room was very welcoming after a hard day siteseeing. The hotel may be difficult to find as the... more

Having read the good reviews of this hotel I was a little disappointed with it. First, the good things. Very clean, well decorated, friendly staff. A stylish feel, in an old arcaded building. They had free tea in the evenings, and tea and coffee making in the rooms. Neutral: Location was quaint and not too far from restaurants and a... more

On our arrival the hotel apologised for not giving us the "superior" room requested. However, they offered either a partial refund or a restaurant meal on them. We opted for the latter. Room 1 is a bit too small but the only real problem was the rather cramped bathroom. Otherwise we thought the hotel was very good. Our room was... more

If you are not familiar with Venice, and arriving by air, I strongly recommend taking a water taxi from the airport (presently priced at EUR 95). This removes all the hassle as your make your entry into this amazing city. You will later become familiar with all the much cheaper and efficient public transport. We travelled back to the airport... more

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Una Hotel. We had a beautiful, spacious room (book an executive room)overlooking a canal. We originally booked our room through Hotels.com. However, we then went directly to the hotel website and we were able to book a larger room at considerably less cost. The location of the hotel is... more

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay last week following booking this hotel based on the positive reviews posted on this website. All past reveiws are accurate in that this is a first class modern hotel whilst maintaining a classic feel through oppulent chandeliers and furnishings. We stayed in an Executive Room which was superb... more

My wife and I have just returned from a short 4day/3night stay in Venice staying at the Una Venizia hotel. We found the hotel , the staff , the rooms and general overall quality very good indeed. We have stayed in many hotels around the world so feel confident in recommending this hotel to anyone. Although the hotel was in... more
