Last week I have spent one wonderful night with my GF at Villa Dolcetti. We toured Western Europe and must say is extremely hard to find low cost accomodation in Italy, especially in Milan or Venice. We wanted to stay near Venice and take bus to the city. We did not have booking just drove off the highway to seek... more

We just returned from a Spring Break (April 2008) vacation to Venice and our wonderful stay at Villa Dolcetti. We chose the hotel because of its central location to several cities and its easy access to Venice by bus... plus it was very reasonable and in our price range. The 400 year old villa has been beautifully restored and captures... more

Everyone should come and stay at Villa Dolcetti and share our experience of this wonderful hotel. Villa Dolcetti is a bus trip of around 30 minutes away from main Venice centre which is definitely worth the distance as main Venice can be dirty, loud, smelly and possibly unhygenic. The Villa is clean, beautiful, and friendly. Diago, the owner, has kept... more

Let me preface this by advising this is the first time I write a review, although I have used tripadvisor for years. The entire hotel was exceptionally well decorated. No expense was spared. For example, the glass wall sconces throughout had the initials of the hotel embossed into them. The name of each room suited the original frescos on the... more

Diego's hotel is wonderful! There's no other word in my mind when I think about the time I was there: WONDERFUL. The best reception I've ever had. Friendly, competent, hopeful. They helped a lot, telling us where to go to have a good dinner, how to proceed to go to the cities around and what they offered. They were almost... more

With the experience of having travelled in over 30 countries, I can certainly state that Villa Dolcetti is one of the best hotels I've ever been to! Very friendly atmosphere, very nice management system, very effective, time flexible, amazing venice-style furnishing, great location!!!! That's the only hotel review I've ever written, coz everybody should know where to stay when visiting... more

Villa Dolcetti is the perfect choice if you are planing to visit Venice and specially if you are traveling by car. We spent two nights in late August. We are a family of four with two small children and were driving across Italy. We did not feel like driving in and out of Venice with everything it implies, carrying bags... more

What a fabulous hotel, a fully restored 400 year old Venecian villa in a quiet suburb of Venice. Situated next to a canal on a main road to Venice, you can easily reach the tourist sights by bus which takes about 20 minutes. We only stayed the one night due to a whistle stop tour of europe but would have... more

My husband and I are regular guests of this hotel and we are really pleased of it: the rooms are very comfortable (the furnishings remind of the original interior design of ‘700, but everything is fresh, very clean and with every comforts you can need); the owners are very kindly: if you need something you can ask them and they... more

My husband and I and our friends had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Dolcetti. It was fantastic value for the price and so much thought and attention to detail was given to the decor of each room. Everything was new and clean. There was ample parking and we felt safe in the secure premise. The breakfast area is also... more
