Villa Dolcetti (October 3/4 2008) If you are looking for a small, quaint, charming, quiet, friendly and family-run place to stay outside of Venice, I highly recommend the Villa Dolcetti. We didn’t want to stay at a chain hotel or one of the highly-priced hotels on a canal in Venice. We wanted to stay at an authentic Italian villa with... more

We have arrived to Villa Dolcetti on 12 August. The property is almost half an hour away from the historical center, yet you need to take only one bus. Maybe this can be seen as the only negative but being out of the humidity and human jam of the city center was a positive for us. the hotel was very... more

We recently stayed in Villa Dolcetti. I had contacted the owner per e-mail to have some questions answered and he was very friendly and helpful, so my girlfriend and I had soon decided Villa Dolcetti would be a great place to sleep in. We stayed there for a week, during which we visited Venice, Padova and Verona. The owner of... more

I'm a young backpacker and staying at a place this nice is something of a fevered dream in regards to my price range. This place is such great value for what you receive - excellent breakfast, air conditioning, a huge bathroom (nicer than my own house), a cozy atmosphere, and helpful service. The decor is something of a "to each... more

On recommendation from this site, I booked a room for two nights July 2008 for my husband and I on our stop to Venice. I liked the idea of staying outside the city (since we had a car) but having easy access. The room, service, assistance, help with our trip, hospitality were all top notch. It is a family run... more

Absolutely loved the Villa. As everyone else has said the hosts were very helpful, friendly and informative and the decor is wonderful. Great atmosphere and very nice breakfast served each morning in the breakfast room and great coffee. We enjoyed being outside of Venice and caught the bus in on both (full) days we spent there. (We had three nights... more

Absolutely the best pre-trip communication I've ever experienced. I have not stayed there and unfortunately have had to cancel my reservation (due to changes in flight times) but through all the many emails Diego has been wonderful. Friendly, warm and the most prompt replies I have ever had from a hotel, even when I had to cancel. I would not... more

My family ( 7 of us) and I stayed for 3 nights at Villa Dolcetti and we all loved it. It really is a beautiful place, so much attention to detail. You feel like royalty! The owners are lovely people, very gracious and helpful. Breakfast is a treat. Oriago di Mira is only 20 minutes to Venice. We took the... more

Me and my wife stayed in this hotel for 6 days and 5 nights. It was excellent. The hotel staff were extremely friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended. Restaurant Vettore near to the hotel had some british menu which we really enjoyed. Excellent location, superb room, friendly staff. So overall 5/5 more

The hotel was in a lovely location...ideally situated for trips in Venice & Padua, and easily accessible on the bus. The rooms were fanstastico! Beautifully decoratorated, with everything which we needed for our trip. We booked a room with a canal view....but be warned - there was an extremely busy (and very, very noisy) road between our room & the... more
