As a solo, first-time visitor to Venice my priority was to find accommodation close to Piazza San Marco. This place is just fabulous. Had a lovely, clean room with air-con; nice breakfasts; very hospitable staff. It's a super location- very near Piazza San Marco. You can't go wrong with Locanda Casa Petrarca which overlooks the canal and it's very reasonable and safe. more

A great little spot, fantastic location very close to Piazza San Marco but it is overlooking a gorgeous little canal and bridge.
