We stayed for two nights, and overall were happy with the place. It deserves a 3.5 rating, with a little work maybe even a 4. The hotel consists of 3 buildings; there are two buildings attached to each other (rooms, longe, breakfast...) and the main hotel building where the reception is, just across the alley. All the buildings overlook a... more

This place is OK to find, a few mins walk from St. Marcs, however some travel agents position it in completely the wrong location! Look at the hotel's own website to get the correct map location. Check-in is at the Palazza Nicolo Hotel next door, which is now merged into the same hotel. This is in a beautiful canal just... more

We stayed a couple of nights here and the room was beautifully decorated in the old tradtional style of Venice with chandeliers and brocade furnishings, but at the same time with mod cons of heating and a lovely fresh bathroom. The breakfast was supberb serving warmed up croisants and pastries in a beautiful ornate dining room. Hearing about the difficulties... more

We just returned from our honeymoon in Italy, which ended with four days in Venice at the Casa Nicolo. The first thing to note is that it is a very hard place to find, even if you get directions or have a map. We walked around it for a half an hour dragging our luggage, there is absolutely no signage... more

We recently returned from a three week trip to Italy with our last five days in Venezia. We selected the Casa Nicolo Priuli because it was centrally located, and offered non-smoking rooms at a reasonable rate. Based on the pictures I saw on their website, I had imagined the rooms to have this 16th century rennaissance feel to it and... more

We found this hotel to be in a great location just 5mins walk behind the Basillica San Marco. We were put into the annexe which was great, very clean, lovely and cool with the air conditioning, comfortable bed, and a superb bathroom. There was nothing we could recommend to improve the room. We paid 145 euros, which included breakfast. I... more

We visited Italy for two weeks in May, 2006 and had planned to spend a night in Venice to celebrate our anniversary. Deciding where to stay was a challenge - we wanted the night in Venice to be memorable - it was memorable but for the wrong reasons. We made our hotel reservations in January and reserved two deluxe canal... more

Beautifully presented and just 3 minutes from venice's main sqaure, san Marco. BUT the fact it is an old converted palace means the marble floors are lovely to look at but can be noisy at night, especially if you are near the main stairwell like we were. Air conditioning units are great during the day but again, marble floors mean... more

We recently returned from Venice and had a great stay with our family. We had 3 rooms, but let me clarify the various names. There is a main hotel with the front desk in the lobby (Palazio?), an annex perhaps 50 meters down (Casa?), and a second annex next door to that, but only the top 1 or 2 floors... more

Our family of 4 (kids ages 12 & 15) stayed at the Casa Nicolo Priuli for 3 nights in July and had a nice stay... the location was great (near St. Marks), but I wish we had a room in the main Palazzo, as it is much more luxurious than the Casa. Our deluxe quad. was roomy for 4 and... more
