The guesthouse is nicely located. Ponte Chiodo is close enough to the main attractions, but away from the beaten path. An excellent guesthouse booked on the strength of the reviews on this site. The location is perfect; close enough to everything but slightly away from the tourist hordes (as far away as you can get in Venice anyway). Located off the beaten path, but you can still walk everywhere. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is lovely, served in intimate garden setting. But most of all, what sets this B&B apart is the owner, Mr. Mattia. This B&B is in a quiet area of Venice but still very close to vaporetto stops and within walking distance of the main tourist sites like Rialto and St Marks Square. We had a nice and clean room at this B&B, in a old restored building over a small canal. We had a minor misunderstanding with Mr.Mattia in the arriving day, wich made us walk through rainy Venice for about an hour. But once installed, and following Mattia's tips, you will forget any bad first impression. After all, Venice is amazing. more

3749 Ponte Chiodo is a little off the beaten path, in a quiet area of Venice, which was exactly where we wanted to be. We easily rode the vaporetto, or public water taxi, to St. Mark's Square and walked to other areas of the city.
