I contacted Allogi through "hellovenice.com" and received a fast answer from Fausto. I reserved my stay 2 months before. The hotel is located in Castello district (typically Venetian, very nice!), the access from Santa Lucia train station is direct and only 22 minutes long. The hotel is 200 straight metres from the vaporetto stop. We had room 6 overlooking the... more

I had already booked to stay here before I read the reviews. They were so go I didn't believe them, but they are true - it's a great place to stay. The directions on their website makes it easy to find the hotel Our room was large and clean and Giorgio and Fausto did all they could to be helpful,... more

My family of four spent two nights at ALLOGGI BARBARIA, it was difficult to find a room for four in (Europe) Venice but they accomidated us. Fausto shared local knowledge and gave us advice during our visit. Fausto went above and beyond when we had a problem with the Italian postal system (we don't speak Italian). The rooms are clean... more

My fiance and I stayed here May 23-27, 2008 and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The rooms were clean, well taken care of, and huge by European standards., and the service was amazing. The breakfast (croissants and buns) offered was bare-bones, but a nice touch - and the wonderful coffee was a great way to start the morning.... more

We enjoyed our stay here. Georgio and his staff were very sweet. Our room was quite spacious and clean. Great location as well. The hotel provides easy directions on getting there, and there were direction about getting around and to the airport in our room. It is in a cute quiet area of the city, close to a vapporetto station,... more

Allloggi Barbaria is a great value for an expensive city such as Venice. It was only a 10 minute walk away from St Marks Square (can be a bit confusing to get there as the streets are so maze like-the staff supply you with a good map). I thought I would want to be closer, but after spending time in... more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, and found the accomodations to be well worth the money. It is in a quiet neighborhood, but within reasonable walking distance to San Marco. The room was bright and clean, with a large bed, clean bathroom, cable TV, and a desk with chair. Fausto and Giorgio, the owners, were very friendly... more

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The room was bright, spacious and very clean. The bathroom, also very clean had a great shower and clean towels were supplied daily. There was a mini bar in the room which was stocked up with water, minerals and some alcoholic drinks. Breakfast was small but what you'd expect. The staff were... more

We stayed for two nights at this simple, welcoming and clean hotel in Venice's Castello neighborhood. It's easy to reach from the station with your bags, as the vaporetto stops at Ospedale, a short walk away. The owners were friendly, recommended an inexpensive but delicious restaurant, and let us leave our bags for a while after we checked out the... more

Our welcome at the hotel was friendly, the rooms spacious and very clean, and with all that you need for a city break. The bathroom was modern and bright with clean towels daily, and the breakfast was simple yet more than adequate. The location of Alloggi Barbaria is very central yet away from the busy streets around the key sights... more
