Hotel Rivamare is a small relaxation oasis between sea and lagoon, thanks to large rooms decorated in style, and the friendly and caring touch of the Salmasi family. We are located in the Lido of Venice, at 20 meters from the beach, only a few steps from Palazzo del Cinema, and 20 minutes from Saint Mark's Square, the heart of Venice. Rivamare distinguishes itself among 2-star-hotels in Venice by offering a small wellness program consisting of massages with essential oils, and Ayurvedic teas, Osho Neo Reiki, meditation and Yoga. more » « less

This is a fairly good option for cheap accomodation that connects Plaza San Marco with the beach at Lido in 45' (Vaporeto + bus) to freshen up from the summer heat. Though our room was very big and had been remodeled, the rest of the hotel is way TOO DEPRESSING in pale colors and shadowy alleys. Breakfast was ok, and... more

Good value... very friendly family run establishment. Visited with my wife and two friends of ours. Very handy location for the Lido beach... a number of good restaurants within walking distance. We will certainly return with the kids soon. more

We stayed in a standard double room for a week at the end of July. The room looked nice but it was a bit small without balcony and with a tiny bathroom. It had everything (hair dryer, air-conditioning) except mini-bar. We had a view of Tennis Club Venice from our window (which was really fun) and even the sea could... more

Nice place to stay in a great location close to public transport and the beach, and because it was run by a family everyone was very friendly which made the place feel homely. Rooms were always cleaned and towels were always changed, and the air con was nice to come back to! would definetly recommend the hotel and the island... more

This was my husband and my first trip to Italy. We could have not picked a more perfect place and location!! In fact, this was our favorite place we stayed in Italy during our 2 weeks. We loved Lido and great access to the beach. We caught the bus to the vaporetta area which then took us to Venice. Very... more

We stayed on the Lido because it was cheaper and also we wanted to use the beach if it was warm enough (it was). The beach was opposite the hotel and whilst not the best sand, was OK for a copule of hours of R&R after a day on venice island before the evening's jolly. The hotel is five minutes... more

My family stayed here in May 2007.Having done a quick tour of Italy I felt the hotel was average- rooms smallish with a lot of 70s furniture.Breakfast was just so so. We were lucky that the weather was good and feeling the room was stuffy one evening I asked for the control of the air con and was told "... more

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The rooms are clean, bathroom very modern. Having been in Venice all day, nice to get back and have a hour or two on the beach. Would stay there again no problem. more

We were recommended to go to Lido by a family we met at Marco Polo Airport after an anniversary trip to Venice. If you are going as a couple you would probably prefer to be in the centre of Venice, but with children staying in Lido saves quite a bit of money. The hotels are cheaper and the restaurants are... more
