I needed one night in Venice and I struggled to find any where to stay save for this hotel. It was without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. This is the type of hotel that I would have immediately checked out of had I any confidence in finding any other available accomodation in the City. When I... more

We spent one week in Venice in the end of March 2007. It was quite cool and half-cloudy. Locanda Arte (=Casa Arte) was a good select (quality / price). Our room was in the annex on Calle dei Orbi. It was large with a good bath-room (shower). It was clean (special thanks the cleaning-lady) and light. There is no bridge... more

We had a room in an other bulding, which was very noisy (first floor). You can hear every step in the house, almost no heating and very unfriendly people at the reception (our comlpaint was for nothing). The breakfast was bad too. more

We have just returned from a short break to Venice. Locanda Arte or as it has now become Casa Arte is a lovely small hotel within easy reach of all main attractions in Venice. It is close to the Accedemia Bridge if you are getting a water taxi. Finding the hotel could be difficult if you havent done your homework.... more

This 'hostel' as two very unpleasant ladies who work around reception call it, is in fact a dusty , murky, smelly, overpriced place without proper heating and lighting ( one bulb per room). All together very scary combination! If you complain and you unfortunately have reservation they tell you to go away and then they take your 83 pounds in... more

This was the least expensive hotel I could find at the time (200 euros for a quad) and it suited us fine. Not very spacious, and the bathroom was a bit older, but clean. My husband is extremely picky about hotels, and thought this hotel was good enough. Location is great! Breakfast was okay, no yogurt or fruit, and they... more

We booked this hotel under the Casa Arte name but it appears from the other reviews that this is the same hotel. This hotel is perfectly located if you like to be away from all the tourists. Steps away from the Academia bridge and a small square it gets no traffic from people working their way to San Marco. We... more

We were originally booked into the Locando Armizo on San Polo but were sent here instead. This is a lovely place to stay. My Husband and I and our two kids stayed in the Junior Suite at the top of the building with the kids in one room and us in the other (perfect set up as it was our... more

May 2006 - We took the vaparetto from the train station and got off at the Accademia stop. The hotel was just on the other side of the bridge. The location was great - there are only a handful of bridges that cross the main canal. By having the hotel right near the bridge, you don't have to take the... more

We stayed in the "Family Suite" upstairs. There were 2 rooms, a sitting room, and a shared bathroom. It was very comfortable, although the air-conditioning did not work very well in the kids' triple room. No view. The shower was the smallest of the 5 hotels we stayed in in Italy. If you are overweight, you will have a very... more
