We arrived from a hot Malta to a very chilly Venice! The hotel Casa Sant'Andrea was 2-3 minutes walk from the bus station and on the banks of S.Chiara Canal, it was very clean throughout, the room was basic (as expected, no TV or kettle)with a spacious, clean and well appointed ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was the standard continental type, perfectly adequate... more

I stayed for one night at Casa Sant'Andrea in August 2007. I had a room with a private bed and private bathroom, paid about 55 euros which included a simple breakfast. Booking: I contacted the hotel directly via email, to which Ezio responded promptly, answering any questions I may have had. They accept credit cards, and hold reservations without needing... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights during January 2008, and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the price, this hotel is amazing value. Admitedly it's a bit of a way to St Marks Square and the other main tourist attractions, but this improved our stay. The 20minutes or so by boat down the Grand... more

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in March 2008. The hotel was very clean throughout, our bedroom and bathroom were spacious and while breakfast was very basic (as explained in previous reviews) it was OK given the room rate (about £20 pppn inc breakfast). The only drawback, as outlined in the previous review, was the noise from... more

This hotel could be so good !!! The staff are very good and the rooms are spacious for Venice. It is also very quite OUTSIDE the hotel.Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the next room and the corridors.Having no carpets makes the sound travel and we heard every door closing in the corridor and everything... more

I have had the privilege of staying on two different occassions at this hotel. It is simply the best value for money hotel I have stayed. The place is spotlessly clean, the people there are genuinely friendly. The rooms have enough space whether you book single or a twin (i've done both). I have had the best experience and I... more

We knew that finding a cost effective honeymoon break in Venice at the height of the tourist season would not be easy. We booked our stay at the Casa Sant'Andrea with Bargainholidays.com and after reading some of the previous reviews on here I started to worry that we would be without an ensuite bathroom. I attempted to ease my worry... more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and it served its purpose tremendously. The staff were very pleasant. (If you have a lot of heavy baggage, be aware that there is no lift.) It's not the Taj Mahal, obviously but the value is terrific. You can walk to the vaporetto stand in about 4-5 minutes and be on... more

Stayed in Casa St Andrea for only one night prior to our cruise. In terms of location, only 2 mins walk from where the airport bus stop and 20 mins walk to the port.Though we should've take the free cruise shuttle bus.I called them up 2 days upon arrival to confirm and found out one of our room is not an ensuite... more

Quick overview: Just spent 22 days (April 9-30) in Italy as a single traveler: I stayed in 12 hotels priced from 50 to 80 Eur/night. I looked long and hard on the Internet to find the best hotels I could afford. In general, most of them are better than “budget/backpacker” hotels and you get great value for your buck: I... more
