The hotel is beautiful, and the location could not be better. Rooms are amazing, huge, super comfortable, including the bathroom. It is a very modern fairly either new or remodeled hotel. It's in partership with Hotel Monaco Grand Canal, so you go every morning to the amazing location to eat a great breakfast with fresh orange juice with the view... more
Stayed at this hotel March 13-16 2007. Overall, the room had a very nice decor and the most comfortable bed during my time in Italy. The hotel is located near San Marco Square and is at perfect location. The only negative is the breakfast which is at the Hotel Monocco Grand Canal. The breakfast consists of some dry muffins, juices,... more
I booked this hotel for myself and 4 others on (-) as we all attended a conference in Venice. As the 'sister' hotel of the Grand Monaco, a member of the Summit group, it is the cheaper option, but with most of the benefits... The rooms are in a large unnamed building, literally around the corner from the Piazza San... more
I booked this hotel on Expedia after having read reviews here. I paid 170$ / night which is a very good deal for such a location / hotel ( stayed 2 nights). The hotel is like 25m from San Marco Plazza, and next to the luxury shops. The room was very spacious for European standards. The hotel has been recently... more
We booked the Selvadego on the evidence of Trip Advisor reviews and stayed there for two nights, November 18th and 19th. While the decor of the room was perfectly pleasant and the palazzo itself amazingly well situated for St Marks Square, there was one thing (and its consequences) that really spoiled our stay. That thing was the heating, which in... more
We stayed her in mid november. Most earlier reviews were enthusiastic, but a few were critical. Having stayed there I cannot understand how anyone would not be delighted. As everyone says the location cannot be beaten in Venice. We took the No. 1 vaporetto (water bus) from the station. It cruised the Grand Canal which is the best introduction to... more
We stayed here in mid August and location was hard to beat. Piazza San Marco is the place to be, but everything is within an easy walk or vapretto(boat). The room was very up to date in contrast to a building with history. Breakfast at the Hotel Monaco was basic, but service and view are great. Restaurant Al Gazzettino was... more
Our stay was excellent. The concierge at the Grand Monaco, the main hotel, accomodated us with complimentary water taxis to Murano, reservations for transportation to the airport, and tips on sites to see. The rooms were large by European standards and the location is great! more
Just returned from a week end in Venice. We booked it through Expedia... The hotel is perfectly situated, less than 200m off San Marco square but yet in a rather calm small street. We booked a standard room and it was really good in terms of size and amenities, especially the bathroom. The decoration is kid of modern style but... more
