Navigating thru the streets of Venice was very frustrating to say the least and to see the this Hotel from the exterior, reminded me of a dilapidated New York city tenement, But when I stepped into the lobby and into the spacious rooms with the tall, tall ceilings, all my pre- conceived expectations evaporated. "Andrea", the receptionist was extremely polite... more

the hotel is really not you expect...it looks much prettier and royal in the pictures, and much more extravagant. in truth, this is simply a large house, with several rooms, and a single common space ( you exit your room and step directly in the breakfast space and reception!),a single person running all the errands (reception, breakfast, and yes, even cleaning... more

I was making reservations for Venice close to our trip which was during peak travel season, so many hotels in Venice were already booked. During my research/planning, I found that hotels in Venice were overall more expensive compared to hotels in the other cities we visited in Italy on this trip. I was concerned about booking this hotel since it... more

We just stayed at the Ca'Bauta and were extremely disappointed after the great write ups here and the Conde Nast write up a couple of years ago. There is one main room, at one end is the reception area, at the other, the breakfast area and in the middle is a common sitting area. The rooms are all off this... more

A great (quiet) location and a comfortable and large room hardly make up for the cheap breakfast (no espresso machine?!) and super high room prices. I'm dissapointed... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days in August. It was absolutely beautiful and located in a great area of town. The staff was extremely friendly as well! The only thing is that it is relatively new and since Venice is full if teeny tiny streets (alley-ways, really) it may be difficult to find. It took us about an... more

My fiance and I just returned from Locanda Ca Bauta in Venice, Italy, where we had a wonderful time. I´m an avid traveler, and must admit that I´m a little picky about hotels. In Ca Bauta I found in the one hand, lots of class, elegance and an extremely helpful staff; on the other, a lovely Locanda at walking distance... more

I can't think of a better place to stay in Venice than Ca Bauta. It is located near St. Marks Square (10 minute walk) in a very nice area. The hotel is well appointed and is staffed by very friendly and helpful people. The rooms are spotless and well maintained as are the bathrooms. We loved Venice and Ca Bauta... more

WOW! What a find! The location is excellent. We loved staying in the midst of Venice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Limited English, but very nice. more

This is a great little hotel that ought to cost twice as much. The decor is, if anything, over the top. There's white and gold and marble everywhere - maybe a bit tres elegante for some. The rooms are small but perfectly comfortable. Everything is fresh, clean and modern. The staff is exceptionally courteous, but couldn't give us a map... more
