I can't think of a better place to stay in Venice than Ca Bauta. It is located near St. Marks Square (10 minute walk) in a very nice area. This is a great little hotel that ought to cost twice as much. The decor is, if anything, over the top. There's white and gold and marble everywhere - maybe a bit tres elegante for some.
