Stayed at the Lux hotel in early September 2008. It has a fantastic location but that is all that is going for it. TIny rooms (I guess it is the same with all venice hotels), tiny breakfast rooms, avg breakfast, safe (which is not working),. No bell Boy. Lugging luggage is really a pain on those narrow steps. The Lux has a great location, right near the square. Imagine our surprise when upon checking in, we were told our room was down the alley, around the corner, and down another alley. Excellent location, 1 minute from the boat/bus stop, 2 minutes from St Mark's Square (you can hear the bells but they're not intrusive). Room nice and warm, clean, and with decent bathroom.
