Hotels in Venice are expensive. If I'd paid this amount for this hotel anywhere else I'd have felt ripped off, but I suspect it was reasonable value for Venice. We booked one of the more expensive rooms and it was basically fine. The decor felt ornate more than luxurious. The bathroom was nice and the terrace was a nice place... more

I stayed with the girlfriend here for about 3 nights/days in late September. Aqua alta hadn't started yet, the weather was phenomenal the whole time, and the staff and setting of this hotel just added to making Venice a gorgeous stay (should really have stayed another 2 nights... sigh). Only subtle complaint would be the breakfast... the croissants were phenomenal... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Casa Martini for 2 nights during the last week of April. After searching for hotels in Venice online while trying to stay under $250 per night, I became very frustrated - as I wanted to be within walking distance to the train station since we would only be there for 2 days. That's... more

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Great location and quiet. A good find! Not absolutely 100% clean (dustballs in the corner), but more than clean enough. BUT: the breakfast was very poor considering the roomrate. A croissant, a roll and prepacked toast, prepacked triangle of industrial cheese and jams. And poor coffee (in Italy!!). No fruit, yoghurt, ham or egg. Let alone... more

I agree with the previous reviews - this is a charming, comfortable, clean hotel. We had unusually hot weather - and this is when the problem arose. Despite prior confirmation that the price included AC, when I asked for the system to be available I was told that it could not be switched on, as the summer season was over.... more

Great deal, charming place, out of the tourist insanity but still close close to everything. Room was good size, tasteful antiques and venetian wallpaer. Breakfast patio was lovely. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but not kowledgeable...gave us wong directions to a restaurant. more

We found this property in the 'Special Places to Stay-Italy' book. Though 'special' might be a bit strong I would definately recommend this accomadation to anyone visiting Venice. The location is great, not in the thick of it but easy walking distance to all the main attractions and near several vaparretto stops. It is clean, the staff are very helful... more

We loved it! Friends had recommended the place, and we were not disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful (assertively worked with the airlines to get our missing luggage, gave great dinner suggestions, arranged for an early breakfast on our day of departure, hauled our luggage up and down the stairs). Great ambiance in a good, quiet neighborhood. Very convenient... more

This is truly a wonderful QUIET hotel. I am just so pleased we didn't stay in San Marco square as getting home every afternoon to the peace and quiet of our room was the best. Venice is great but a bit nuts and so crowded. Our room was lovely, quiet and cool, manager so friendly, breakfast lovely ....everything you do... more
